Windcrest Animal Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware was started by Dr. William V. Gallery in 1955. Previously, the building was owned by the Zebley family (several members are still our clients!)
Dr. Bruce Damme started working in the practice in 1982 and purchased the hospital upon Dr. Gallery’s retirement in 1983. Dr. Donna Namey started working in the practice in 1993 and Dr. Morgan Dawkins started working in the practice in 1998. Drs. Namey and Dawkins became partners with Dr. Damme in 2003.
Since its start in a small house with one doctor, our practice has grown into a 16-doctor hospital. The facility has had several major renovations with the constant goal of creating a comprehensive and advanced medical and surgical center for our patients.
Our hospital contains a 24-hour emergency facility, a full laboratory and pharmacy as well as x-ray and surgical areas. Most diagnostic and treatment procedures can be handled within the hospital. We also have boarding and grooming departments as well as an in-house adoption center.
Our Mission: We are committed to the human-animal bond by providing excellence in innovative, state-of-the-art veterinary medicine and full service care.
We attribute our continued success to our fine staff, our healthy patients and their satisfied owners. We thank you all!
From the inception of our practice, we are a group of professionals dedicated to:
- Offering quality care and service to our patients
- Educating our clients on how to provide a healthy lifestyle for their pets
- Actively participating in efforts to benefit animals in our community
Our goal at Windcrest Animal Hospital is to consistently provide the finest in veterinary care to our visiting pets and to be kind and considerate to their owners.
